JB-Lighting

At JB-Lighting, they take an uncompromising approach. To guarantee their high quality standards, they make all components, with a few exceptions, in-house. They keep the entire process of design, prototyping, mechanical series production and processing of electronic components in-house. For this, they employ highly qualified staff.

In house

An additional advantage of designing and producing almost entirely 'in-house' is that the lines to product modifications and improvements are always short. This also makes service extremely adequate and fast. This is further supported by the modular structure of the products, which makes replacing components super easy. Times within which repairs or servicing can be carried out are therefore very short. Repaired equipment is carefully tested before being returned.

Awards

JB-Lighting got into LED technology very early on, resulting in the VaryLED 3*84 in 2005: the first LED-based washlight suitable for stage use. Prior to that, in 2000, they had already developed a control desk very specifically aimed at moving light: the Licon 1, to support their own first products in that field, which were also released in that year.

Subsequently, JB-Lighting developed a range of fixtures that were awarded several accolades, including the JBLED A7 washlight that received the Plasa Award for Innovation in 2008, the Beamwash A12 earned the Showtech Product Award in the Lighting & Projection Technology category in 2011 and the Varyscan P7 earned the pipa Award in 2017 specifically because it was the first LED-based moving head to feature CMY colour mixing.

Moving heads

In the washlights, currently the most eye-catching are the Sparx 18 and the Sparx 30 moving heads with their unique TwinZoom. Like all fixtures from JB-Lighting, they are extremely quiet (29dB, A-weighted) and low in weight (21kg and 24.4kg respectively), but that doesn't affect performance. Because the lenses are housed in two independently movable chassis, unique effects can be achieved with them. For instance, the angle of both can be individually determined. The optical components enable extremely homogeneous light and stunning colour shades. The beam has either a sharp or a diffuse edge if required, and its shape can also be changed. The angle is extremely flexible with a range of 3 to 70 and 4 - 70 respectively. There are versions with RGBW and RGBY LEDs.

High power and high CRI

Very attractive is the P12, which comes in two versions: Spot and Profile. These - in turn - come in an HP (high power) and an HC (high CRI) version. The P12's light output is overwhelming: the HP version takes it to 46,000 lm and the HC version to 34,000 lm. The modules in the P12, such as the animation module in the Spot, the blades in the Profile, and gobo and colour wheels, can be assembled and disassembled without the use of tools, making maintenance and changing extremely simple.

The blade unit can be rotated 110º and the blades can be independently positioned within a very generous range and close completely.

Led spotlight: Profile and Wash

The flagship at JB-Lighting is the P18, which comes in Profile and Wash versions. They feature white-light LEDs. With an LED unit of 1,000 watts, the P18 Profile excels in light output, providing the equivalent of about 1,700 watts with traditional lamps. Yet the P18 Profile weighs just 32 kg and this fixture is impressively quiet; again, only 29dB (A-weighted).

The Wash version features the same LED technology but combined with a fresnel lens. This model is even slightly lighter than the Profile: 31 kg. In this version, the P18 delivers in light output the equivalent of a traditional 2,000-watt lamp.

Valueproof

JB-Lighting keeps parts of delivered products in stock for ten years and every model introduced is kept in production for at least five years. This guarantees continuity with regard to repair and maintenance and ensures that it is almost always possible to extend lighting installations with the same types of luminaires if required.
