Microphone stand of your choice

Good microphone stands are solid and stable. They also come in all kinds of shapes and sizes. For sound sources close to the floor, it is not practical to set up tall stands with a long pole. Especially for heavy microphones, there are stands with a counterweight and there are also handy solutions for microphones that need to be placed high above a drum kit, for instance. Many artists prefer a straight microphone stand with a heavy foot rather than a flexible rod with a tripod. It is therefore worthwhile, when buying microphone stands, to also take into account specific situations in which they will be used and in combination with which light or, on the contrary, lead-heavy microphones.

Magnet

For miking a grand piano, it is useful to place microphones on a gooseneck, which in turn can be placed on the frame of the grand piano by means of a magnetic base; lightning fast and practically invisible from the outside. Cosmetically much better than microphone stands in the opening of the grand piano and technically with very many possibilities to get the microphone in the ideal position. With a magnet set, you have more options for microphone placement anyway without eye-catching stands.
