ModulAir
The ModulAir principle
With the ModulAir brand, we bring to the market products that are missing from other brands. In other words, we adapt concepts that are deficient in one way or another to meet our own and our customers' requirements. One of ModulAir's first products was a magnetic microphone mount, and it is still a hit.
19" racks and stage blocks
A good example is the ModulAir system for putting together stage blocks, wall boxes and 19" racks and assembling them yourself if required. In a lot of cases, soldering yourself is not necessary, as the system uses flatcable and 14-pin IDC connectors.
Print as desired
We supply blank 19" panels and stage blocks with printing as required. These can be filled with PCBs containing a set of 4 XLRs, either female or male. There are then mounting holes for multi-connectors with a choice of LK-veam, TEN47, Socapex-337P and Ceep, among others.

The XLR connectors (Neutrik) are per four on a PCB. Of course, there is a choice of male or female, and these PDBs also feature the 14-pin IDC connectors. When replacing faulty components, these only need to be unscrewed and the flatcable can be disconnected. This provides fail-safe connections and can be done in a very short time. | Through the flatcable and its connectors, which can be pinned anywhere on the cable, the XLR-PCBs can also be looped through very simply. This is a very simple way to create a splitter. | The advantages of using flatcable combined with the IDC connectors are obvious. Self-assembly is a piece of cake and replacing components is not nearly as time-consuming as with traditional systems. Soldering is not required. | For the multi-connectors, there is a wide choice of the most commonly used formats: LK-veam, TEN47, Socapex-337P and Ceep. Matching PCBs are supplied for connecting the flatcable. To connect the PCBs to the connectors, simple soldering is required. |
Assembling
Finally assembled, the interior of a stage block or 19" rack offers a clear and therefore easy to service assembly. Defects can be tackled with a screwdriver.
Saving time
The main advantage, however, is that you can assemble stage blocks, wall boxes and 19" racks completely as you see fit. Assembly takes a fraction of the time that would otherwise have to be spent soldering the individual connections.
