TENNAX AXON-12x3-inch passive speaker

The TENNAX Axon-12x3 is a sleek slim speaker that can be used in both fixed installations and mobile applications. This 12x3-inch passive speaker is suitable for any amplifier with an integrated DSP or upstream DSP Controller.

The name Axon comes from Latin and is translated as line or wave. Both are equally applicable to this speaker: the dense arrangement of the 12 x 3" wideband speakers in a vertical line ensures particularly good coupling, creating a flat wavefront over a wide frequency range.

Less sound pressure loss

Conventional loudspeakers have a sound pressure loss of 6 db for every doubling of distance. The Axon is only 3 db quieter. The benefit is a more even distribution of sound across the room: close to the speaker not too loud and still clear and intelligible far away.

Elegant multifunctional design

The column is curved at the bottom for good coverage in close proximity. The back wall of the housing has remained straight, allowing the Axon to also be mounted flat on the wall or on a pole with an invisible bracket. Together with the slim design, the result is a very elegant and unobtrusive design. The Axon is therefore predestined for permanent installations and mobile applications, where not only excellent sound but also a sophisticated visual appearance is important.

Various possibilities

The angled Speakon connection field can be swapped for a connection plate with a Phoenix contact connector strip or a waterproof PG cable gland.

There are several options for flown and standing installations: threaded points, swivel brackets and wall and mast brackets. A safety point allows easy attachment of a safety cable for added security.

Operating options

• To be used on any suitable amplifier with an integrated DSP or upstream DSP controller. Filter values are freely available for desired settings. Limits can be adjusted by the user.
• Plug & Play on TENNAX self-powered subwoofers (Ventus 12sp, 15sp or 18sp).
• Plug & Play on Powersoft amplifiers with ready-made presets for Armonia Plus software.
• Connectable to any suitable amplifier via the TENNAX (AllDSP) 19" DPS-Contoller. Filter values are already set, limiter values must be adjusted manually (limiter preset at 32 dB amp gain).
